Hovering Bright Orange Light Observed
Over Calaveras County California

Date: April 3, 2010
Time: 9:30 p.m.

My self and four friends observed an orange orb "light" coming from the north hills of Calaveras. It had no other type of lighting indicating a commercial aircraft. It was silent and moved way to slow to be a high flying plane. We watched it move from north to south along the hills under the Big Dipper at 9:30 pm. It settled above a star that I could point out, if asked in reference the Big Dipper. It stayed stationary for 10 minutes with only a few minor movements.

We all watch it just disappear as if the lights just switched out. It went from a very distinctive bright orange light in the sky to nothing, just like that. I am a father of three boys and married. I like to consider myself quite grounded and very smart. This object, in which we watched was not like anything I have ever seen before. It was not a high flying helicopter, nor a high flying airplane. There is no one who could convince me other wise. This, was in my opinion, a UFO in traditional definition.
