Ball Of Orange Red Glow Over Ironwood, Michigan

Hi Brian, a friend and I were traveling to Iron River Michigan around 10:00pm on July 4, 2010. We were going through a small town of Ironwood, Michigan when I noticed a ball of orange/red glow in the sky that was lower to the horizon. (direction unknown) I thought it was some more fireworks the city was setting off, but the light didn't die down. We ended up stopping the car off the road to watch it. The glowing single ball seemed consistent, but ended up 'sparking' a bit. Then it moved down and blinked on and off until it just disappeared. We noticed it glowing for about (at least 10min) I'm relived other have seen the same thing.
