Star Like Orange Light Over

Shape of Objects: "Star like" orange light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: An orange light which can be best described as a "star", appeared from the west at an altitude of some 1500 feet. It had no aircraft warning lights and the light was constant and moved eastwardly in a direct line towards Edinburgh airport, until it disappeared. The Golf Course is on the Edinburgh flight path and at the same time the light passed underneath an aircraft which had just taken off from Edinburgh Airport. Wind direction was from the west. Incident was witnessed by another person who can confirm the above. Matter reported to the Police at 22.40.
