Bright Orange Light Over Woodside London, UK

Hi Brian, I have not seen anything like this in my 62 years, but it was 0105 hours Tuesday morning, here in Woodside when being still quite wide awake, I was aware of a moving, shimmering, bright orange light through the bedroom curtains.

Leaping out of bed I watched this phenomenon rapidly proceed in a southwesterly direction towards Croydon, diminishing in size before it disappeared. There was no smoke trail. I thought at first it was one of those 'parachute' fireworks, but it was obviously far too quick for one of those!
