Strange Lights Over Woolwich, UK

Hello Brian, I just seen three strange objects in the night sky above Woolwich about 2135. I went onto the web and found a similar report on your site.

To give more detail, there were three of them traveling line eastern about a mile apart quite quickly traveling south and crossing the river at Woolwich. They initially looked like the landing lights of conventional aircraft when approaching, but as they got close, it was clear that they had no flashing navigation lights and they were totally silent. They were also on an unusual course compared with London Heathrow or City Airport. They could have been military, however they had no sound whatsoever.

The first to appear traveled on a straight course. The second one to appear reduced altitude quite suddenly and veered toward the river. It then quickly gained height again and continued on its course. Most unlike a conventional aircraft or helicopter. The third took the same course as the first. I looked at them through binoculars and could not make out a shape as the front facing orange light was so bright it obscured any shape to be seen.

They were so obvious that other people must have seen them. These were witnessed by my wife and I simultaneously so it was not simply imagination.
